Back to Work

This is my last week off work with baby Mayson, so I have to capture our fun days together!  We had a great day playing in her room, reading books and rolling over.  We went on some fun walks with Buddy and spent time in the back yard planting flowers.

Ready for Spring

We're all waiting for the spring weather to arrive, loving the longer days, but not enjoying the rain.  At least Mayson has her summer hat ready for when the sun does show up :) We'll call this series of pictures "The Bonnet."

Couch Time

Mayson had her "Extravaganza" friends over the other day that were also born in 2010.  Mayson was so excited she had to suck on her hand and soothie to keep herself calm. I think Will enjoyed flirting with the girls as we lined them all up on the couch.  She has also loved the longer, lighter evenings, of spring, hanging out at home with mom and dad.

Big Girl

Mayson went to her 4 month appointment at the Dr. last week.  She weighed in at 13.1lbs, which puts her in the 40th percentile of other babies her age.  Apparently she got some height genes from the Stephens side since she is already 25 inches long, which put her in the 80th percentile.  She's still wearing most of her 3month size clothing, but her toes are ready to poke through her jammies, which is why she likes to be naked a lot. Okay, so her favorite pink yoga pants are a little big and sit at chest level, but those are 6 months size :)

Spring is Here

Mayson met spring for the first time and jumped right in.  She did some spring cleaning in her closet, tried on her new spring hats, and did some gardening outside with Buddy.

Milestones

It's hard to believe, but Mayson is 4 months old!  She has grown a lot and already is so different from when we first met her.  She is looking around and grabbing everything.  Her music tastes have developed (she is really into Coldplay right now), and she is giggling a lot with her dad.  She tried her exersaucer for the first time and loves to "stand" in it and explore the toys.  She also sat up in her umbrella stroller for the first time while I had fun wheeling her around the house (okay, I will admit it was a lot more fun for me than her). We even gave her her first solid food last night.  She tried a few bites of rice cereal and we think she even managed to swallow some.  Although she really enjoys going barefoot, and kicks off most socks, Mayson also tried on her first shoes and managed to keep them on for a few hours.
