We have a new milestone. We bought Mayson her first big girl plate and cup set to call her own. Now she will not eat anything unless it is arranged in the different sections on the plate. If I try to give her something on her placemat without the plate she is not interested. I'm just impressed that she doesn't throw the plate off the table, that is a milestone in itself!

Busy Body
This girl is on the move. She is definitely looking more and more like a toddler and her crawl is fierce! When we get home after school, Mayson has a routine to keep her busy while she is stuck inside on these rainy November days. She usually starts by trying to pet Mo Mo, and then crawls laps around the living room, kitchen, hall, and bedrooms. When something gets in her way, she gingerly reaches out to reach it, grabs it, and then throws it with force behind her. She loves to pull all of the books off of the books shelf, take all of the laundry out of the basket, and visit herself in the mirror.
Daddy's Girl
Mayson had a fun day playing with Dad last weekend. They wrestled, cuddled, had a fun walk outside, and played a computer game for the first time. Whenever she and I are at home starting to eat dinner at the table, and she hears Keri's key in the door, she starts to bounce up and down in her chair and smile and laugh. When he gets inside and she sees him, she lets out the best giggle!

Sunday
What a great Sunday! Mayson started her day with a bath after she got a little too excited with her applesauce at breakfast. She had some good cuddle time with dad before her nap, and then she was ready to go to meet up with the Hassman's for a fun pizza, fro-yo, and Green lake park date. Have I said before how much she loves Hope and Joey? After nap number two, she went to a very distinguished book and musical event hosted by her favorite, Casper Babypants. I got to meet author Linda Sue Park, and Mayson got to listen to stories and dance to her favorite songs. We both even got autographs. There was only one small incident...Keri thinks she got really excited about the song, "Googly Eyes" since we listen to it on Youtube...Whatever the reason, when we tried to do an on-the-move expert parent maneuver where we change her diaper while she is standing up, she peed all over us and the table. Later in the evening, she more than made up for her faux pas by doing her first "crusing/walking" along the couch. She was moving all over the place by herself and was even reading her book and turning the pages without us. She also couldn't get enough of dad at dinner, laughing at him the whole meal. Fun day.
