Juneau Easter Egg Hunt and Basket of Yum
I wouldn't say everyone was dressed in light spring dresses (more like jackets and boots in the mountain air), but the kiddies of Juneau came out to the high school for a super fun Easter egg hunt on a crisp morning. Loved it! Mayson went to the 0-4 age group area out on the football field where eggs were spread out everywhere. Someone next to us told us that all the eggs were snatched up in 30 seconds the year prior. I didn't believe it until I saw the field wiped clear of all traces of eggs in under 2 minutes. The kids meant business! Mayson figured it all out really quickly and loved grabbing the eggs and putting them in her bag. She even got to meet the Easter Bunny (check out his name tag). The next day, Tara and Kristin had a big Easter basket surprise for Mayson. She loved the chocolate marshmallow egg and was pretty excited about the jelly beans too. So much fun!
Juneau Family Time
Of course, our big reason to visit Juneau was to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa Stephens' 60th wedding anniversary. It was wonderful to have all of the aunts, uncles, and cousins in town too so the whole family could be together. Mayson got to spend time with her 7 cousins and meet everyone at a family dinner at the Baranof hotel on Friday night. Then on Saturday everyone met for the big party and danced and celebrated. A big thank you to Tara, Kristan, Kyle, and Kallan for letting us stay at your house; we were so glad to be able to spend time with you!
Blue Skies
Juneau was BEAUTIFUL over spring break! We woke up to crisp, cold mornings and gorgeous blue skies. The days turned warm and we were surrounded by amazing snow-covered mountains. We went to visit the glacier and explored outside at all of the parks and playgrounds. Just driving around town gave us incredible views in every direction.
Cousin Kallan
Cousin Kallan was a big hit during our trip to Juneau for spring break. He won Mayson over in a big way, starting with the iPad and continuing on with fun times at the playground! He walked with her, chased her around the living room, entertained her in the car, tickled her, danced with her, and didn't even mind when she threw his DVD collection all over the floor. He is the most patient, loving 11-year old we've met! Mayson's so lucky to have him for her big cousin!

Seabrook Spring Break
We took our first trip out to Seabrook on the Washington coast and rented the cute and cozy "Daydream" cottage for two days of spring break. It was a bit cold and rainy, but we went to the beach and ran around in the sand, visited the playground, walked among all the cute cottages and bike trails, and went swimming at the great indoor pool. Mayson did some modeling in her new swimsuit. She loved the pool and had a great time climbing on the steps and splashing around. It was a dreamy 85 degrees in the pool house, so we didn't want to leave!
Jedi
Mayson had a new outfit on the other day and Keri loved it because he said it made her look like a Jedi. Not sure why. But either way, she looks good in stripes. Anyway, I guess here's some pics for all you Star Wars fans out there:
