Walking Progress

Mayson is doing an amazing job walking while holding on to our hands.  She has progressed a ton this week and looks steady!  I think we're close to some serious independent walking soon!  Here's Mayson's steps to an effective walking session:
1.  Get new shoes on
2.  Psych yourself up and take a look around
3. Get focused and pound the pavement
4. Be congratulated by Dad
5. Cry when parents stop you from walking
6. Recharge with some lunch

Hurricane Ridge Snowshoe Adventure

We had an AMAZING, sunny weekend here in Seattle, which was a fantastic treat for the beginning of February.  Our friends, Tim, Stacia, and Mike invited us along to go on a fun day of snowshoeing on the Olympic Peninsula.  Mayson got to take her first ferry ride, and we drove out to Hurricane Ridge.  The views from the lodge alone were beautiful, but after we hiked along the ridge we saw incredible views of all of the surrounding mountains (and Canada).  Mayson loved her backpack and new sunglasses and was happy during the whole trip.  She even got a little nap in while bouncing along in the backpack.  I love how she is so content on hiking trips and loves checking out the views.

Walking (well, more like pushing)

Mayson seems to be closer to walking, and much to our delight, has shown interest in at least walking to push things around.  So fun!  Here's some footage of her new moves, both walking and dancing.
