Mayson has been a good sport trying on some new hats we found for fall. They're a little big, but still pretty cute.

Summer Days
Yesterday we had a great day playing with Hope and Joey at our house. They are the best! Joey even wrote about spending time with Mayson in his gratitude journal. Then Mayson and I went on one of our daily neighborhood flower walks. We found some sweet peas and she loved smelling them!
Express Yourself
It may be mother's bias, but I think Mayson is a pretty expressive little one. She has many faces. She laughs, screams, giggles, ponders, pouts, and "talks." Today when we went to story time, when we sang, "If you're happy and you know it, roar like a lion," she actually roared at the right times. I swear!
Daddy's Girl
Mayson lights up everytime Keri comes in the door! There might be a bit of a resemblance between them too.
The Red Chair
Okay, I admit it, I love trying to come up with fun props for Mayson to pose with in pictures. So you can imagine my delight when I drove by the local hardware store and saw the red adirondak chair. I'm sure there will be many more pics to come with this prop.
Mirror Mirror
Mayson is loving looking at herself in the mirror and has finally figured out that cute girl is actually her. The other day I walked into her room as she was waking up from a nap and she was laughing and smiling across the room. I looked over and realized she had been playing in the mirror on the door near her crib. She couldn't get enough of herself.
Saying Goodbye to Buddy
After having Buddy in our family for 4 years, we decided that he needed to be with a family that had other dogs or an owner who was home a lot to help him with his anxiety. We met Sandy through Evergreen Golden Retriever Rescue and she has been wonderful. She is retired and has three other dogs and already loves Buddy. They have gone on trips to the lake, had marathon brushing sessions, and lots of play time. Sandy emails me updates all the time, and so far he is doing very well. We miss him a lot and have been very sad, but we are hoping he is feeling better with friends. Here are some pics of our final day with Buddy-dog.
At the Races
Mayson had her first day at the race track with grandma and grandpa. They checked out all of the gray horses, placed some bets, and met a clam along the way.
